The Pearson Electrotechnology Centre is a professional career centre located in Lachine, one of the most scenic and historical Burroughs of Montreal. From the time we first opened our doors in 2007, we have been building and establishing ourselves as a leader in technical training. We have built a team of experienced instructors and devoted support staff. Computer Support & Networks

The Computer Support and Networking program is designed to ready you for a career in the field of Information Technology. Our graduates work as computer support specialists, network support specialists, and network administrators.

Our program goes beyond basic MELS requirements. We are a Microsoft Academy and you will have acquired specific knowledge in Cisco, Comptia A+, Linux+ and Network+ upon completion of the program. Our skilled teachers have a broad range of experience and provide you with guided instruction in our state of the art classrooms equipped with the latest hardware and software. Theoretical learning is complemented by our placement program which will enable you to apply your skills in a real world industry setting prior to graduation.

Skills you will learn:

  • How to install and maintain hardware and software at a workstation
  • How to manage a network and installing and maintaining shared resources
  • How to support customers in a professional work environment
  • How to enhance a workstation for better performance

The Electricity program prepares you with the necessary skills to work as a certified electrician in a variety of industries or to start your own business.

We provide you with hands-on and guided training. 60% of your learning time will be spent in practical workshops, working in teams, and under the leadership of our seasoned teaching staff. Our teaching philosophy is focused on problem solving and learning by doing. Our facilities are state of the art and are stocked with the latest tools and technologies. 

We are the Centre of Expertise in Electricity in Quebec and the only destination offering English training in the province. 

Skills you will learn:

  • The techniques needed to repair, modify and maintain equipment and machinery
  • A broad range of techniques used in residential, commercial, and industrial electricity
  • The knowledge and expertise for doing the work in accordance with the Quebec Electrical Code

Installation and Repair of Telecommunications Equipment

Installation and Repair of Telecommunications Equipment

The Installation and Repair of Telecommunications Equipment program offers you an opportunity to acquire sound theory and extensive hands-on experience with many aspects of the telecommunication industry. Courses consist of both classroom instruction and practise in modern communications labs. Instructors share industry experience and teach in alignment to current industry needs and standards. Additional specialized certifications offered through the school better prepare you for the workplace.

Skills you will learn:

  • Verify telecommunications circuits
  • Perform installation and repair of communication equipment
  • Read and create technical documents including blueprints, schematics and plans
  • Effectively use test instruments

Safety on Construction Sites

Safety on Construction Sites

The 30-hour Safety on Construction Sites course provides participants with the technical prevention knowledge necessary to work safely at a construction site, in accordance with the regulatory requirements of the Québec Construction work safety code. The course would be of interest to all employees and subcontractors who work at a construction site as defined in article 1 of the Act respecting health and safety at work.

School Daycare Educator

School Daycare Educator

The School Daycare Educator program covers various topics that focus on pre-school and school-age children’s development. The program also focuses on the creation and organization of activities while keeping the children safe. The program is offered part-time, two evenings per week.

We provide you with hands-on and guided training. Your learning time will be spent in practical workshops, working in teams, and under the leadership of our seasoned teaching staff. Our teaching philosophy is focused on problem solving and learning by doing.We complement our classroom learning with our student placement in a school daycare, which will allow you to apply your skills in a real world setting.
