How to register?

Thank you for selecting Roslyn Elementary School. We look forward to having you join our family.

The registration dates for the 2024-2025 school year, are as follows:

Sibling Registration General Registration
(All Levels)
January 29th to February 2nd, 2024
(by appointment only)		 February 5th to February 9th, 2024
(by appointment only)

Our regular Elementary School Registration week is between February 5 to February 9, 2024.

If you already have a child registered in our school, please make an appointment during the sibling registration dates indicated above.

If you are looking for a place in grade 1 to 6, please call the school directly at 514-481-5581.

Pre-Kindergarten (K4) Registration Form

This form is for a parent to reserve a registration appointment for Pre-Kindergarten 2024-2025. Please note that your child must be 4 years of age or be turning 4 by September 30th, 2024. Someone from the school will call you soon to validate your information and provide further information on the registration process.

To register for Kindergarten (K5), We ask that you book an appointment using our online reservation system through the following link. Online Kindergarten (K5) spot reservation links will be available on January 29, 2024, at 7 a.m.

Reserve a spot for Kindergarten (K5) at Roslyn Elementary School

Once you have registered online, the school will be contacting you to schedule an appointment to complete the registration.

Appointments will be given in the order in which the registrations are received.

Please bring the following documents with you to the school when you come for your appointment: 
  1. student birth certificate (bearing parents names)
  2. if student born outside Canada, student Canadian citizenship
  3. parent Canadian birth certificate or parent valid Canadian passport and,
  4. parent proof of English elementary school (such as: parent certificate of eligibility OR elementary report cards from another province) 

If the following documents apply to your child, please ensure to bring them as well:

  • Derogation form
  • Professional assessment(s) report(s)

Parents who are interested in registering their child(ren) at Roslyn Elementary School should contact us for information about eligibility and programs. Roslyn Elementary School also registers new students throughout the school year, however, acceptance depends on classroom availability and area of residence.

Private Attention, Public Spirit

Roslyn is a public elementary school that offers a rich French Immersion Program. Students are taught all subjects in French from Kindergarten to the end of Cycle 1, then receive bilingual instruction in Cycle 2 and 3. We also provide a diversified enrichment program to help your child enhance their academic skills. When your child joins the Roslyn community, they take part in a vibrant, multi-faceted curriculum and share a strong school spirit. Whether your child enjoys producing plays or web pages, playing the violin or hockey, becoming involved in a community recycling program or a chess club, there is something for them at Roslyn.

If you do not have a Certificate of Eligibility

In order to qualify for English Instruction in Quebec Public Schools, students must meet certain eligibility criteria under the Charter of the French Language as set out by the Quebec government.

Eligibility Requirements

If you have a Certificate of Eligibility

You must bring the following documents with you to register your child. Originals of these forms can be brought to the school:

  • Long Version Birth Certificate (showing both parents' names)
  • Immigration papers (required if not born in Canada)
  • Certificate of Eligibility
  • Proof of residence (lease and driver's licence/utility invoice etc.)
    Required only if child was born outside Quebec
  • Citizenship of parent
  • Child's most recent report card (for grades 1 to 6)
  • Vaccination booklet
