Welcome To Kindergarten 2020-2021
Ms. Joanna & Ms. Laura would like to Welcome you to Kindergarten at Roslyn School!
We are sure you're feeling a series of emotions. As your child is excited about their first day of school, you're probably wondering if they will be okay.
The Learning Partnership, in conjunction with the EMSB has created an online resource that you may use over the summer to prepare your child for their entry into Kindergarten. The Welcome to Kindergarten program helps prepare children for a positive start to their school journey.
A national program available in English and French, Welcome to Kindergarten engages children, parents and caregivers, schools and communities to make early learning a priority at home and prepare children for school. The program provides parents and caregivers with early learning and literacy resources, and game-based activities that can be done at home.
Below, you will find important dates to keep in mind for your child’s progressive entry to Roslyn. You will also find a link that will take you to the Learning Partnership website where you will find videos and resources that will help you and your child get ready for kindergarten. We look forward to seeing you all in September!
Progressive Entry Schedule (all days are mandatory)*:

- September 1 – Parent Welcome & Student Progressive Entry (A-K 10AM to 12PM) (L-Z 1PM to 3 PM)
- September 2 – Student Progressive Entry (A-K 10AM to 12PM) (L-Z 1PM to 3 PM)
- September 3 – Student Progressive Entry (bring school supplies)(A-K 10AM to 12PM) (L-Z 1PM to 3 PM)
- September 4 – First Full Day of Kindergarten (9AM to 3:45 PM)
